During the summer of 2021, I spent 5 months on a Career Assignment with Apple’s Marcom LA design team. I used that time to lead concept and design across various lines of business as well as several campaigns and marketing initiatives.
As a designer with Apple’s Marcom LA Design Studio, I was often utilized to bring a creative point of view to a brief and then assist in bringing the brief to life. This assignment allowed me the opportunity to collaborate with multiple corporate teams to understand things like brand strategy, campaign production, and creative process while honing knowledge and skillsets pertaining to brand identity, creative presentation, and business acumen.

Organic Social Assets
I was responsible for creating bespoke assets for key promoted audiobook titles. These assets were handed off to publishers and authors for use on their own channels and followed a uniform design system while remaining unique to each individual title.
Creative Concepting
Responsible for concepting what would later be part of a larger marketing initiative. The Apple Books team utilized my skills and knowledge in social to develop unique in-feed and story animations. A cross-functional partnership between creatives, in-house motion designers, and creative leadership were integral in the success and development of this content.
Email Design and Layout
I led design on multiple emails for Apple One, Apple’s subscription bundle. I was responsible for creating design directions and design systems to present to creative leadership for approval. In addition, I used Sketch to build email templates for Apple’s email team that were brand new and unique to Apple One, and Photoshop to render hi-res fresh image sets for the body of the email. Working across multiple teams was the key to a successful brand email launch. Apple One presented challenges like displaying very different content in a uniform manner. The end results include a net-new email for Apple One that is being marketed to over 25M users and an email update that will be seen by every new subscriber forthcoming.
